PROFILE: Raised in Napier and moved to Auckland at 17 and then spending time working overseas decided that Auckland is where I like to be. Having spent 12 years working in IT I graduated from Auckland University with an MBA in 2000, becoming a Project Manager who specialises in helping corporates who acquire new companies, downsize, or outsource their IT services. I'm currently rebuilding a 65 foot wooden launch that I hope to use to break the Sydney to Auckland powerboat record set in 2006.
MOTIVATION: A recent business venture had me working 7 days a week with little or no leisure time, expanding from 80 to 95 kgs. The Corporate Boxing Programme has given me a goal to maintain focus on training, diet and life balance over a reasonably short timeframe whereby I've shed over 10kgs, improved my fitness and greatly enhanced my energy levels. While the Fight Night evening is a great motivitor a huge amount of effort work has been put into the preparation, so win, lose or draw I've already achieved my goals from this event.
