FIGHT NIGHT VI.
Sadly, many New Zealand children don’t get the chance to unlock the power of learning because of deprivation in their daily lives. Each day is an uphill battle if you arrive at school on a wet day without a raincoat, shoes or even three meals a day.
KidsCan StandTall is a charity dedicated to removing the physical and nutritional barriers preventing children less fortunate than others from getting the most out of their education.
KidsCan StandTall meets the needs of Kiwi kids by providing raincoats so they can arrive at school warm and dry, food to ensure they don’t have to fill their tummies from the school water fountain and shoes and socks to prevent foot injury and keep little feet warm in winter. Our food for kids programme currently supports 20,000 children a week.
We believe that every child has the right to an education.
We are looking for contenders to help us Fight Poverty by taking part in Fight Night Round VI on the 21st of May. Each contender aims to raise $2000 dollars for KidsCan which will go towards our programmes above.
Training starts 1st March 2010.
